I Ran.

Two and a half glorious miles. My heart behaved like a normal person’s and my legs didn’t feel like they weighed 100s of pounds. I went slow and it wasn’t easy but it is a start.

Resolutions

I’ve never been one for New Year’s Resolutions. Honestly, I’ve always found them a bit annoying. If you want to change something about your life, why would you wait for January 1st to start? Do it now.

It’s Official

I have Graves’ disease. After all of the stress and uncertainty of the last couple of months, it was actually a relief to have the official diagnosis.

Graves’ is an autoimmune disease that can be debilitating. Or, it can be relatively mild and can go into permanent remission. It turns out Graves’ runs in my family, something I had no idea about. I’d never even heard of it until I found out my thyroid was overactive.
